Let’s Whip Up a Homemade Coffee Scrub Together!

Hey there!

I’m super excited to share something that I absolutely love doing at home. Making my own beauty stuff is like my little happy hobby. It’s so cool to mix and mash things up, knowing exactly what’s going into my skin care, plus it’s super fun! Today, we’re going to make a coffee body scrub that foams up and feels amazing on your skin. This isn’t just any scrub; it’s specially made to help smooth out cellulite with the magic of coffee and leave your skin feeling super soft.

Why This Scrub Rocks

Picture this: scrubbing away with coffee and sugar that not only gets rid of dead skin but also helps with those annoying cellulite spots, thanks to caffeine. And the best part? It leaves your skin feeling moisturized but not oily, and it rinses off super easy. Plus, it’s foamy and luxurious, making you feel like you’re at a spa in your own bathroom.

How to Make It – Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy

What You’ll Need for 250g batch:

  • Oil phase:
    • Jojoba Oil: 11.25g (keeps skin happy and hydrated)
    • Cocoa Butter: 7.5g (makes skin super soft)
    • Cetyl Alcohol: 6.25g (makes the scrub feel nice)
    • Glyceryl Stearate: 12.5g (helps mix water and oil)
    • Dimethicone: 2.5g (protects your skin)
  • Surfcatant phase :
    • Coco Glucoside: 12.5g (gentle bubble maker)
    • SCI (Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate): 25g(cleans gently)
    • Glycerin: 15g (keeps skin from drying out)
  • Water phase:
    • Distilled water: 12.5g
  • Cool Down phase:
    • Fine Sugar: 116g (for scrubbing)
    • Preservative 1.5g
    • Optional scent: caramel and vanilla (smells yummy) :1.25g
    • Vitamin E: 1.25g (keeps your skin and scrub fresh)
    • Ground Coffee: 25g (fights cellulite)

Instructions:

  1. Mix all the oil ingredients in a clean beaker.
  2. In another beaker, mix the surfactant phase ingredients until the SCI is completely dissolved.
  3. Weigh the distilled water in a different heat-safe container.
  4. Heat all three phases to the same temperature in a water bath.
  5. Once all the phases are at the same temperature, combine the distilled water with the surfactant phase, then gradually mix that with the oils, stirring thoroughly.
  6. Allow it to cool, then add the sugar, preservative, fragrance, vitamin E, and coffee.
  7. Check the pH to ensure it’s skin-friendly (between 4.5 and 5.5), making it comfortable to use.

And voila! You’ve made your very own coffee scrub that’s awesome for your skin. It’s super satisfying to use something you made yourself, and it’s great for your skin, too.
