In this post i am going to share with you a recipe about making your own homemade body lotion using panthenol and rice protein! Taking charge of your skincare by creating your beauty products is not only fun but also ensures you know exactly what you’re putting on your skin. Panthenol (Provitamin B5) and rice protein are powerful ingredients that can transform and nourish your skin.
Formula :
water phase :
- 75% Distilled water
- 8% Glycerin
- Oil phase :
- 2% Mango butter
- 4% polawax
- 1% Ceteral alcohol
- 2% Aloe vera oil
- 1% Caprylis
CoolDown phase :
- 1% Rice protein
- 2% Panthenol
- 3% Leucidal
- 0.5 % Vitamin E
- 0.5% fragrance oil
Instructions :
1) In a heat-safe container, combine all the water phase ingredients.
2) In a separate container, do the same for the oil phase ingredients.
3) Place both containers in a heat-safe double boiler setup.
Gently heat the water phase and the oil phase until they reach the same temperature. Avoid overheating; a gentle warming will suffice.
3) Once both phases are at the same temperature, slowly pour the water phase into the oil phase while stirring continuously.
To ensure thorough emulsification, use an immersion blender to mix the two phases well. This will create a smooth and creamy consistency.
4) Allow the mixture to cool down to room temperature before adding the cool-down ingredients.
Hope you enjoyed this recipe, i would love to know your thoughts.
